For most of my life I've always thought the craziest thing an astronaut ever did was smuggle a golf club and some balls on an Apollo mission and take some swings on the moon. That's not the craziest thing now. Not by a long shot. Shuttle astronaut Lisa Marie Novack drove over 900 miles from Houston to Florida in order to talk to another female astronaut about a relationship with a male astronaut. And by talk to, I mean she was disguised, carrying pepper-spray, a bb-pistol, a buck knife and she tried to force her way into the other lady's car. Capt. Novack's been charged with assault, kidnapping and just before she was released from jail, she was charged with attemped 1st degree murder. The best thing about this story is that in order to make the trip from Houston to Orlando, Novack wore her special astronaut diapers in order to cut down on bathroom breaks. While I admire the dedication to her stalking/attempted murdering plans I think I'd draw the line at driving 900 miles while basting in my own filth. But hey, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out...just someone that drives the rocket. |

If you've read anything at all about Content Management Systems (CMS), you'll probably know at least three things: CMS are the most exciting way to do business, CMS can be really, I mean really, complicated and lastly Portals are absolutely, outrageously, often unaffordably expensive.
Example Caption Joomla! is set to change all that ... Joomla! is different from the normal models for portal software. For a start, it's not complicated. Joomla! has been developed for the masses. It's licensed under the GNU/GPL license, easy to install and administer and reliable. Joomla! doesn't even require the user or administrator of the system to know HTML to operate it once it's up and running. |
